Stegner Grant for the Arts Recipient 2009 Nanci Lee lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia with her husband Jock trying to keep a 150 yr. old house from falling down. She is a poet, an adult educator and a micro finance consultant. She has been working with rural women's savings associations in Africa and Asia for over 15 years. Her poems have been published in the Antigonish Review, Fiddlehead, Contemporary Verse2, Quills, the Coast, CBC Radio. She won the CBC poetry face-off for Halifax this year and in 2007 the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia's Unpublished Manuscript contest for poetry. She is thrilled to count the Wallace Stegner Award and residency among her writing milestones and to exchange words and stories with the Eastend community. She believes that everyone has a story. And that those stories and the negotiation of them are one of our most powerful paths to a more just and liveable world. Ming Dynasty Follow the blue dragons.
